Gavin Law RMT, BFA
Registered Massage Therapist
Gavin, originally from Vancouver, moved to Toronto to attend York University, where he was accepted into a specialized double major program of Dance & Kinesiology. After completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours, he found his passion for massage therapy through Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. Gavin is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, as well as the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.
Blending his background of dance with massage, Gavin utilizes a systemic wellness approach to massage therapy. With extensive knowledge of anatomy, posture, and biomechanics, he provides a full body experience for every patient. He is passionate about the importance of touch and embodiment in our everyday society, and believes that massage is an irreplaceable therapy that strengthens the intimate connection between our body, mind, and spirit.
Gavin uses a blend of Swedish massage techniques, including relaxation and deep tissue, hydrotherapy, joint mobilizations, stretching, and sports massage during his treatments. In addition, he is experienced with working with different populations, from seniors and children to high-risk pregnant patients at Sunnybrook Hospital, quadriplegics at Lyndhurst Rehab, and pre/post-surgical patients at Toronto General Hospital. “Dancing” with a patient’s body, his goal is to improve their overall wellness, to treat any dysfunctions, and to have them feeling good-as-new at the end of the treatment!
