Mike Fuhr RMT, B.A. (Hons)
Registered Massage Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Sports Massage, Reflexology
Mike has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2014. He is currently in his final year of study at the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy. His thesis on how Osteopathic Manual Therapy may help treat eczema is currently in process.
Mike incorporates osteopathic assessment and techniques into every massage treatment. He enjoys listening to his patients and empowering them by explaining in layperson’s terms how their body works
He has a keen interest in the subtle rhythms of the body. He specializes in CranioSacral Therapy and is the only Upledger Techniques Certified Registered Massage Therapist in the Toronto area. He is a teaching assistant for both his college and the Upledger Institute.
Over the past two years Mike has developed additional interest in the field of Visceral Osteopathy. Visceral manipulation is generally painless and is often indicated when treating lower back pain, constipation, PMS and a host of other conditions.
Mike believes in giving back and spends at least a week each year volunteering in the support crew for the Wellspring Peloton Challenge, a cross-country bike rally that raises money for a group of cancer support centers.
In his spare time Mike daydreams about Berlin (his favourite city), listens to vinyl, cheers the London Knights and tries to spend as much time as possible with his beloved fiancé and his soon-to-be stepdaughter.
Mike is a member in good standing of both the RMTAO and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
