Mike Fuhr RMT, B.A. (Hons)
Registered Massage Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Sports Massage, Reflexology
Mike understands first-hand, the aches and pains that come from sitting at a desk. Prior to enrolling at the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic he worked in book publishing for over fifteen years.
He approaches each treatment with a sense of engagement and wonder. His ultimate goal: to meet his patients “where they’re at” and to help facilitate a reconnection between mind and body.
Mike’s ability to sense subtle movement – in both in his patients and himself – led him to study CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and Osteopathy.
In 2016 he completed his Techniques Certification through the Upledger Institute. (Mike is one of only a handful of Upledger certified CranioSacral Therapists in Toronto.) He is also a CST Level 1 Teaching Assistant.
Mike is equally adept at deep tissue work. His training in Shiatsu, Sports Massage and Thai-style Foot Reflexology allow him to tailor treatments to any request.
Mike believes in the power of positivity and gratitude. He regularly donates blood and volunteers each fall with Wellspring’s Peloton Challenge.
In his spare time Mike enjoys watching old movies and listening to podcasts. Occasionally he tests his patience while trying to learn Tai Chi. When all else fails Mike treats himself to a cherished hour of float tank sensory deprivation.
Mike is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
