Erica pursued her interest in the human body during her education at Western University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Honour Specialization in Kinesiology.  During her time at Western she became the trainer for the Varsity Women’s Basketball team where she responded to injuries, provided preventative care and was an active member of the rehabilitation team.

Due to her education at Western University, Erica understood the importance on Westernized rehabilitation and pain management, however she became intrigued by modalities that work to treat the person holistically verses just treating the pain or injury itself. She found that massage was a great connection between Western medicine and holistic treatment. Therefore, She pursued a career in massage therapy and studied at Sutherland Chan.

Based on her own experience with recovery and through her training as and RMT Erica believes that human touch is greatly under estimated as a healing tool. Erica works to connect the body and mind to promote healing, relaxation and pain management. Erica has experience working with individuals with many different presentations including: pregnancy, developmental disabilities, spinal cord injuries, the elderly, and post-surgical recovery.

She has trained in the martial art of Nerkin Ouj for 14 years and currently holds the rank of black belt. She feels a strong connection between martial arts and massage as both allow productivity through the connection of the body and the mind.

Erica is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and an active member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
